At this moment, it is time to understand and analyze WHEN we can perform those very activities.
It goes without saying that we cannot build a house roof before the foundations, or that we can not bake bread before we make the dough. We, humans, understand those relations in real life, of course, and based on those very principles, it is very important to understand dependencies and task durations in each of our projects.
